1) If you read the sunworks website you will notice no mention of any storage systems. They mention "grid-tie" in the FAQ and "How solar works" sections.
2) Storage is much to bulky and expensive with current technology. Its most definitely in JN's mind, but adding storage into the "solar system" equation would make solar not economical (again).
3) Remember... the grid isn't going anywhere. At least not in the next 30, maybe 50 years or so. Connecting to it seems to be a safer bet than storage.
