Another unexplained mystery for me

was that sandsurf2K post of last friday night.

I'm able to build behavioural frameworks for most posters,
but that one has me baffled. I had a strong sense that
it was legit, despite the flaws noted by bearinvt et aliam.
(to avoid need for rehash, sanssurf did flip from 3rd to 1st person delivery of the message from his 'contact', did change the story in response to board messages, made assertions about where the arbiter was spending his time, and supposedly was in two places at once.)

Either it was legit or a very skilled fake. If it was a fake, why bother with it?
The joy of jerking the chain of LTL's? the market was closed after all...
Getting Recs?

IF it was manipulation, to what end?
How would anyone make money by further encouragement of fully invested longs? Spy vs. Spy redux...

OK, there's a lot of unique folks in the world, but I can't come up with a satisfying profile for that one. ( I even thought it was a certain well known poster who needed an anonymous nome de plume to protect contracts but was eager to get credit for sharing his insights and help reinforce long sentiment to help get it over the hump at 36, but a vigorous disavowal did put that into doubt also. Perhaps he dideth protesteth too mucheth?)
Tangentially,
LOLo
