I have not seen any commercials but I doubt I am in the target zone down here in AR. Do not expect to see any branches here in the near future.

Community involvement and corporate philanthropy are top priorities at Santander, which made over $11 million in grants and donations to non-profit organizations in the United States in 2012.

But yeah, they are trying to make a footprint in the US. Nominal activity here compared with other areas such as Latin America. Latin America is where the growth has been that has staved off Santander from much more dire circumstances during the height of the EU crisis.
