Well my trading day is about done. I work nights and sleep days, so my main trading is 9:30-noon
Not having day trading status hurt me today. PHOT dropped and i got shook out @ 072. $350 profit where i wanted to sell Friday @ 1200 profit..oh well.
I will be churning along until i get that back as i have 20% of my account used for day trading which equals about 4k. Trading on margin, that gives me about 8k worth of buying power and the stocks i like to day trade for the most part can't buy too much for 8k.
Today for example, first of all, i had a terrible entry point and didn't follow the indicator as i was anxious to trade. bought 125 shares of SCTY @ 54.02 (should have been 52.50) and got out @ 54.20 for almost no gain, but lucky as it looked like it was going to be a loss. Exit sucked as well. I set my exit at the intraday 50 day moving avg, and as it got close, i canceled the exit and sure enough, it reversed exactly at the 50 day...lol
