The Machacala Project corresponds to a low sulphidation epithermal Au-Ag vein deposit. It is emplaced in a NW shear-zone. The Machacala System constitutes over 10km of mineralized veins which has been categorized by Meridian Gold into three sub-systems. In 2004, Gold Hawk estimated a total inferred resource of over 1,560,000 tons with a gold equivalent of 420,000 ounces for the overall project.
