Obit, regarding this:

K. Participation by Common Stockholders
In order to avoid any perceived unfairness to other stakeholders,
the NewCos also would consider making a portion (between 10%
- 20%) of the rights offering available to holders of common stock
in the Enterprises, including the warrants held by the U.S.
Treasury on an as-converted basis.
Any rights issued to the U.S.
Treasury would be sold to private investors, thereby providing
parity treatment to the U.S. Treasury while avoiding any
implication that the NewCos are owned, supported, or controlled
by the United States Government

What I am trying to figure out, are these so-called "rights" in lieu of shareholders holding their common stocks or in addition to their holdings? Will the shareholders have both these so-called "rights" and ownership of the common shares they hold, or will those commons be worthless? For example, let's say I have 5,000 shares of stock, will I be able to retain those 5000 shares in addition to whatever rights available under Section K?

Sorry about the repeated questions but people simply want to know will they have the same amount of money they invested when Berkowitz plan takes over. In other words are common shareholders going to lose money or gain money w/Berkowitz takeover according to Sec.K
