There is a trend line that started on Sept 26 (after the SP had settled back from the sharp overrun from the long term trend line from 10 June first Orphan Drug PR. It's a very slight down trend (typical for a preproduct company in the absence of news) that is currently about 5.74. The SP was sharply above it this AM, dipped below and has been steadily going back up to it since.

The bottom of that upward channel (today) is about 5.59

If the SP breaks above 5.75 or again things could get interesting.

Does anyone know what the expected time frame is for the tests on H7N9 and MERS (among others) that PHE made an agreement to do in July? Results from that or from the tox testing are the next probable news events IMHO although there is considerable potential for something "out of the blue" as well.

To nanopatent: Overpopulation MULTIPLIES the effects of ALL of our current environmental problems. The ROOT CAUSE is that our population is already well beyond the earth's carrying capacity. we keep developing more ways to increase that capacity but that process is NOT keeping up with population increase and is inherently limited as the earth is a finite environment (for all practical purposes (and what COUNTS are PRACTICAL purposes*)

THERE IS NO POSSIBILITY WHATSOEVER OF ANY EFFECTIVE SOLUTION WITHOUT EFFECTIVE POPULATION CONTROL AS AN ESSENTIAL AND CORE PART OF IT. [religions that care far more about maintaining and extending their grip on power AT ANY COST than for the welfare of their consituents are a major roadblock to success. An even greater contributor to the problem is DISPARITY IN WEALTH. Studies have consistently shown that the "economic insurance" of a large number of children (the 3rd world's "social security system") is the major driver behind population expansion and when adqueate levels of social support and resources are established VOILA! The population rate DROPS BELOW REPLICATION - EXACTLY what we so desperately need. We don't need plagues to kill off massive portions of the population (and if we allow things to degenerate to that, we deserve what we will get. And the rich will go down as well as the poor, just somewhat later). What we need is simple economic justice.

Exploitation, both of natural resources and of humans,is not sustainable. Competition is healthy ONLY when restricted to a framework of cooperation. It is not and never has been, a good in and of itself. Like anything else, when taken outside its proper frame of reference and used in great excess it is actively harmful. A degree of it is essential but it is ALSO essential that it be in a proper balance and relationship with cooperation. Right now the world in general and most especially the USA is suffering from a plague of lethal hyper competition.

We live together cooperatively (with BALANCED and CONTROLLED competition) or die together. There are no other options.
