Hi, stills.

I've never heard about clinincal-trial fraud

Has happened. Humans are still humans.

Are the results not as strong as we are lead to believe? The trial does not have a random control group so perhaps there is some 'bias'. As an example off my head, perhaps in India the general population (and thus the patients) are generally much younger which is driving the survial rate higher (a 30 year old with cancer might have double the chance of survival than a 70 year old). Without a random control group such unforeseen factors are always possible. Furthermore, the result did not have ANY impact on median survival so the majority of patients were not impacted

Your questions are well taken but unanswerable. Comparing historical data and results from different clinical trials is, at best, a talking point or wan hope for the future.

Have to start somewhere. Control arms are rare in early trials and only where success is thought highly probable with little threat of adverse reactions.

Kindly note that the lowest possible amount of drug thought to have effectiveness was administered in trials to date. Higher dosage is expected to be more therapeutic and possibly more hurtful but only actual trials will tell.

Best, Terry
