...Kind of doubt that...

The LGE PR is very misleading... First, it is not clear how much the license payments are (is it $95M or $285M)but either amount would barely cover GSM/GPRS/Edge, which is clearly what motivated LG. The PR is very vague about what, if anything, LG is paying for 3G, looks like a gimme, a throw-in,... and why would that establish any new credibility for IDCC w/Q or any 3G vendors.
