Aggree with what you guy's are saying about MM games and shorting. But their is a way to prevent your shares from being loaned out by your broker. You just put a (take profit) sell order in place, good till canx. and then renew it every 90 day's. Place it high enough to eliminate/reduce the risk of it getting hit if you really want to hold for the long haul. And adjust upward if the share price increases. If their is an order in place, the broker can not loan out your shares. Works on the stop loss side as well, but that is just asking for big money to hit your stop and run with your shares. Don't believe me?? Just put a stop loss on a currency contract and watch the vultures swoop in to releive you of your contract, and then run the price up like a scalded cat...
