Thanks for the compliment but I would not presume to pronounce my prognostications correct or incorrect until the market is able to generate some real momentum in one direction or the other - that has yet to happen. At the moment, it looks more like a great battle being played out between the bulls and the bears, with neither side able to take charge.
As for looking for stocks to hold for 12 months or longer, the only ones I would even consider would be gold stocks. I believe everything else will be offered at a significant discount before long. Although I think another upside leg is quite possible here, it will not represent a new bull market, in my opinion, not even close -- more like a very big bull trap.
