At first you don't notice it but eventually it grows into a big anchor that keeps growing till it eventually sinks the boat unless you cut it down to 1/10 to 1/20 of the size it grows to. Then once you cut off 90% of the weight it keeps growing except at a faster rate. This is when all the smart talented people get in the only life boat and quietly leave in the night leaving the passengers by themselfs. By the time the passengers figure this out the ship is going down fast 90% fatality rate is the norm when the big D gets attached to the ship.
