What that news does tell me? Medical MJ shops have established enough money to effectively lobby votes for themselves. This vote was about Maine as a whole, correct? If the article holds any water, that means medical cannabis dispensary groups are making enough money to lobby for their interests. Doesn't sound pretty, but its what profitable companies do when their interests are on the line.
This shows medical cannabis has proven profitable enough to flourish. They want to keep their earnings and will fight for them.
One way or another, that grow equipment is getting purchased. Could be a good sign for PHOT - big money flowing in from medical cannabis companies accented with small money from recreational or start up growers.
Colorado needed Denver as the catalyst for their legalization, as will Maine need Portland. A major city signs on, and its a sure bet the state will soon follow.
