Of course they were well-to-do they just wanted to oust the elites in power so they could take their place. They sang the sirens song that wealth and corruption were the cause of all the downtrodden peoples woes. They love a Robin Hood.

I couldn't have voted for Romney had he ran uncontested and that would have made me a pariah down here but then that's why politics and religion aren't discussed in mixed company.
