Pilots association advocates for America-US Airways merger • 1:01 PM

The Allied Pilots Association publishes an open letter to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi asking the state to stop opposing the merger of US Airways (LCC +1.4%) and American Airlines (AAMRQ).
The group points out that the two carriers only compete on 12 nonstop routes, a mark which is far below the number of competing routes involved in other mergers that have been approved by the DOJ and Florida.
