If anyone tried disabling their Filters, they might try re-enabling them again and see if it's working better.

I added a new index that, though it didn't look necessary, might've been. And also recompiled queries, which is what we used to have to do when the site was having "morning sickness".

It could be that the slowness of moving from post to post was this database server's way of exhibiting "morning sickness" where the other one would just be too overwhelmed to respond within the 30-second timeouts.

Which convinces me more that I need to drop all of the indexes, during off-hours, and gradually add only the few I'm convinced are needed.

I remember with Access and older versions of SQL Server, it was possible to have too many indexes and "confuse" them to the point they'd take forever to do simple things they could've done in a short time with no indexes at all.

We have what I'd consider a ridiculous number of indexes.
