A while back, we used a company called bghydro for our supplies as they seemed to have the most conclusive inventory. A short time ago, bghydro's online store went down for a long duration and we needed a new place to purchase supplies.
So I went online and started researching. Between grower message boards and google reviews, I was pointed in the direction of Greners.com. Turned out Greners was a fine substitute and I've used them ever since. Greners had generally lower prices than bghydro and when I called Greners, someone always picked up. With good prices, stealth packaging and prompt shipment (for items in-stock), I had no reason to switch back from them.
I see a lot posting about the Phototron, this is far from their main product. Phototron is for small time growers who just want to provide for themselves and maybe a few friends. Introducing LED technology to the Phototron will renew interest for stealth growers to try it out.
Big money is coming in from the new trend in LED grow lights.
Here is an article for a high times test run to compare LED to HID.

Once LED becomes cheaper in production cost, they will begin to compete with HID lighting. A combination of improved technology and larger volume purchases is leading the industry to a point where more people can afford LED grow lights.
Then you have a brand in this company that is to monitor your grow room. Because people know of the small chance of fire, safety will be an expense most intelligent growers won't skimp on.
So when I look at PHOT, I see a company who sells all the equipment from grow tents, safety equipment, and each style of lighting with all the accessories in between. If you include hydroponic equipment and all the things needed to monitor your conditions in hydro, you have a tremendous company on the horizon.
When I first jumped into MJ stocks a couple months ago, I started researching as much as possible. Had some stock in MJNA, CBIS, HEMP, FITX and GWPH. After my research was done, only GWPH remained and I added PHOT in there as well.
With so many companies having bad leadership or legal issues, PHOT looks like the safest/strongest choice to me.
I wouldn't be surprised if that convertible note was so they could set up a few grow locations either.
Just input from someone actually in it.
