Mastercraft.. I'll share with you a similar conflict I had with me spouse.
All of my investment money comes from my extra income generated from lectures, classes, and seminars, none from joint accounts.
Even at that my spouse resented the fact that I was spending to much time investing and following my stocks.
My spouse had been riding me about changing a under utilized formal living room to a recreation/game room, pool table, poker table, bar etc.
So when the grousing started up one day, I told her to get dressed, and we were going on a short trip. I took her to a large Thomasville decorator center and I turned her loose.
Four hours later, her mind whizing about with all her decorator visions I simply pulled out a little checkbook she did not recognize and wrote a check for over $57,000.
Her mouth dropped wide open and when she regained her ability to breathe she asked where did that come from? With a grin, I told her that was compliments of my cash account tied to my investment account at Scottrade.
Haven't heard a negative word since, I am now her HERO.
