Each to his own. I did not want to post a review on Rise that I received yesterday, because, initially, I was disappointed in the taste, so decided to wait for the final, revamped product before I decided, and possibly post (or most probably keep to myself), any negative conclusions.
Yesterday when I received the first batch I tried some out of the plastic bottle. It tasted to me, and as others have said, like watered-down coffee, but not with any caramel or Kahlua flavor, as others have also said, and which caused my initial disappointment. I put the rest in my straight-up, black coffee, and didn't like it, since I don't like black coffee, so I added some Half and Half as I usually do.
However, I again tried it out of the bottle this morning. It was not as tasteless as it seemed yesterday, so I tried it some more. I started to discern a subtle flavor. The more I drank, the better it tasted! I, again, added the rest to some coffee. I pretty much hate black coffee, and would not drink it even with Rise added yesterday; today, though, while not all that great even with Rise in my cup of coffee, it was not too disgusting to finish the whole cup! lol
Tomorrow I will drink the whole thing out of the bottle and skip the coffee. I guess the unique flavor grows on you. I'll do better with the new flavors, I'm sure; but, for now, I like it straight out of the bottle and, as I never have been a big fan of coffee anyway and only drink it for the caffeine boost, that's just fine with me!
