sgolds, I´m so glad I "trusted" my gut feeling instead of letting past trends dictate my position through earnings. This was certainly unexpected. Perhaps that is key for AMD CCs? Do the opposite of what you think will happen? 
The chart is interesting:
Last Thursday when the first of the two major downgrades (Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch) started to leak, the
stock began tanking. The results restored faith in one fell swoop.
As far as analysts are concerned, respect goes out to Prudential for their calls.
