I wonder if Idit can chime in here regarding whether or not competitors can produce the same quality result. I assume MYGN has some proprietary database of mutations so interpretation of results may not be as good that from MYGN, at least early on

I would also be curious if anyone has any favorite plays for diagnostic companies including those offering next gen sequencing. I understand many of these players are still private. We've been using counsyl quite a bit, and I did send someone for full sequencing of CF to goodstart, for example. I'm not sure what will really emerge as standard yet and would be curious what others think (for example is a shotgun approach looking for mutations in a broad array of disorders like counsyl for screening preferable to next gen looking deeper into diseases with greatest carrier rate?)
