First, if she is working full-time for $12,000 a year, then she is either illegal and being taken advantage of, or she is very bad with numbers (I assume you will chide me for bringing humor to such a dire situation). So, she is working part-time. Why is that? Why does she not use the other 50% of the day to find more work? Why does she not figure out how to live with another to beat the poverty level? Why does she not do one of probably 50 things that would work around this situation? Oh, I apologize. Ours (the taxpayers) is not to question why. Ours is but to pay whatever the gov't asks and keep our mouths shut, right?

Anyway, the poverty level for one person in 2013 was a bit under $11,500 I think, so isn't it amazing how she just managed to make barely above that, and use her good sense to spend $7,200 of her $12,000 for insurance? Nothing is ever as simple as the liberal mind wants to make it, and this example shouts "red flags." How many other federal and state assistance programs does she qualify for? Many, I'm sure. Liberals (and politicians on both sides) never want to figure out a better way, because they simply want the FED to print more and more paper money, and the gov't to steal more and more, and distributions to keep increasing with little thought behind the programs.

Finally, that 25% would be plenty if spent wisely and only on the truly legal needy. Charities would blossom under this, and these two people you mention would have other options to help them. Again, we are to assume these people have no family who care about them? In today's entitlement and selfish world, that could actually be the case. It was not 40 years ago. Family took care of each other.

I'll stop, as I waste my breath on those who believe thinking is too taxing, so taxing and printing is the desired "solution" . . . that is, until it is not, and that day is fast approaching.
