Very recently, the company shipped some samples of these Tetrapod Quantum Dots to an undisclosed Asia –based electronics manufacturer who is purported to be a dominant in this space. Quantum Corp (NYSE:QTM) has customized these quantum dots to the client requirements. The company said that this continuous flow technology which is still patent pending, produces narrow, uniform-bandwidth tetrapod quantum-dots that have purer colors, less aggregation and bright emission as well as precise color-rendition. The company expects that this technology will soon enable the production of lighter, thinner, brighter and less-expensive QD LED displays such as flexible and portable devices.
