Update on Phase II JP-8 SBIR
Some here had time-lined the submission of the final report on the Phase II JP-8 Army SBIR project to be last month.
This is the SBIR that was I believe fast-tracked and supplimented by Argonne Nation Laboratories and The National Science Foundation Grant late last year.
It has been posted on the Army SBIR portal as submitted.
Following is a response, from the Army, to my inquiry as to what the process is and why this report, of the many hundreds that have gone final, is the only phase II report not finaled.

If it is not listed as final, then it is still being reviewed by government personnel.
Once it is approved for release, it will be viewable.

I consider this to be great news...they don't spend a lot of time on projects that are not going to go to commercialization. The final report itself usually discusses whether the goal has been achieved, or not, or request further assistence to reach the goal. If either were the case it would have been finalized and viewable.
Look at the Phase II reports on the portal, few rise to the level of the JP-8 project. It may just be finalized in concert with the commercialization contracts.
It may also just be the level of confidentiality of the work. The Phase I project that has not been finalized had to do with covert technology.
I think we will hear something soon...they can't review it forever.
