(1) Do you think these banks would be settling up with FNMA if there was a chance of them being dissolved? Absolutely not. They are actually proactive in their actions to settle up and put these lawsuits behind them. Wouldn't it make more sense for them to wait this out, drag their feet, and hope FNMA disappears. Of course it would, that's why I believe that they are well aware that there is very little chance of FNMA going away!
(2)And this is just me being alittle selfish...I'm in no hurry to settle these lawsuits, and I believe any settlement announcement will not move the PPS very much. Its built into the price already.
I would rather wait til after FNMA has squared up with the govt, wins the lawsuits, gets released from c-ship, gets uplisted to settle these lawsuits. That way, the money is all ours, the shareholders. Can you imagine a settlement announcement followed by a PR that those monies will be passed onto the shareholders via a special dividend of say $2.00 a share.
Remember, FNMA is suing these banks. Not the U.S. Govt
