That's kinda what I did with green onions too. I've transferred green onions from 4 gardens over the years. Now Jo and my son in separate gardens hundreds of mile apart grow green onion I planted from years before. I'm going to do this with all culm spice and medicinal plants; ginger, maca, yacón, turmeric, etc. Even gonna try with ginseng, as each will have their own area suited to them to naturalize in and just go to town.
