You must be well off? Or maybe older and have forgotten how poor most of the people that are going to jail and or prison are? It's the same reason you don't carry cash because criminals will rob you of your cash, most your crims don't have credit cards and don't want their picture taken when trying to use a stolen credit card, they use cash as currency and most likely thats the currency their family and friends would bring them in lockup. Don't forget that not every one has internet service either. Just something to think about.
