Edit: One consideration is that HED, the calculation you used, is mostly applied to determine the safe starting dose for human trials (MTD or DLT of the lowest scoring species tested divided by 10 after conversion to human equivalent). HED should not be used for determining anything more than very roughly estimating an effective dose since so many other factors are involved in converting animal (mouse in this case) to human. If it were a simple matter of applying HED calculations based on body volume equivalence, then people like Dr. Menon would not need computer simulation programs to make basic conversion calculations to estimate efficacy range, calculations that many posting on this board can estimate in our heads.
