I would assume the pipeline's early stage to be the main factor.

It might seem a bit excessive. And yes an open market buy would look much better for the company. But put yourself in the insiders shoes. Would you rather, if both options were available, buy open market or through worker's comp shares? Pressure towards the latter might have also come from the recent addition, Gringeri, who is a star in the field, as part of conditions for him joining. What I'm getting at is that general shrewdness by insiders does not translate, for me as of right now, to something to worry about. Having said that, the move is somewhat shareholder inconsiderate so I see where you're coming from. I just don't see it as something to be alarmed about

I think it was implied that they would not issue shares prior to news. Though Gengos specified that they would not "issue in this year", and that we can be sure of, though i guess it does leave your hypothesis open...
Are you sure that they said they need 3-4 months before readout? I was under the impression that it would be 1 at most...Do you have a quote?
