Contact www.woodworks.org if you want a wood construction consultant. They have some very intelligent people working there. I highly recommend them. They can even show you how to build a 10-story wood building, if only it were allowed in the US, as it will soon be in Canada and already in Europe (one building, so far).
It's going to take a generation, but CLT wood structures are going to take off, as the building codes are slowly amended to allow this. So, no, I am not suggesting you invest in CLT production companies, unless you can afford to watch your money stagnate for a LONG time. Code cycles are 3-years long, and it's going to take a few cycles to get all these changes done.
