Porsche is owned by Volkswagon and has been for a long time. If you've looked at various models of Porsches over the years, you'd see lots of VW parts in some of their models like the 924. I
haven't followed them for a long time so I don't know what the
VW content is.

I think that the idea is that some of the leading-edge stuff
gets filtered down from Porsche to VW and Audi and some of the
parts and volume production stuff gets filtered up to Porsche.

As far as Ferrari goes, they could just wind up as a division of
Ford, GM or Chrysler.
