ESPION International, Inc. Assists Local University in Aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita
BATON ROUGE, LA - Email Gateway Security maker ESPION International, Inc. (OTC:EPLJ.PK ) announced that it recently signed Southern University of Louisiana as one of their newest clients. In conjunction with their commitment to assisting companies and state agencies in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, ESPION has provided special terms to existing pricing and payment options to assist the University during the recent state-mandated budget freeze. Since Hurricanes Katrina and Rita struck Southern Louisiana in late August and early September 2005, ESPION has been working with state and government officials to provide hardware and security solutions at reduced prices and in many instances deferred payments until next year.
"ESPION is committed to assisting in the rebuilding process of Southern Louisiana. We continue to work with State agencies and Universities in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and will provide these solutions and services with reduced or special pricing until the area has time to rebuild," says Ron Kaufman, ESPION's Chief Operating Officer.
"Our previous solution was doing a poor job of stopping spam," says Carl Grant, Manager of Enterprise Support Services at Southern University. "We really liked what we saw in the Interceptor, but after Hurricane Katrina, our budget received added pressure. The folks at ESPION worked closely with us to accommodate our new budget constraints. Moreover," says Grant, "the time we were previously spending trying to combat spam, we now are able to spend on more important tasks."
ESPION will be providing their signature Artificial Intelligence-based Anti-Spam gateway solution to the University, which will protect critical data and systems from being subject to malicious email attacks, Directory Harvest Attacks (DHA), viruses, phishing attempts and spyware intrusion.
