I respect what your saying but add a little chaos theory into your charts and equations.
I think that everything is coming into play. Just look at the board of directors. Who they are, thier backgrounds, who they lunch with, golf with, travel with.
I don't know nearly as much as you but I do know the IT industry. VOIP is about to pop! It will pop like a dog fart thought. Silent but deadly. It's grass roots. Ask any 10 people on the street if they've heard of VOIP 7 will probably say yes, and 3 to 4 will know what it is. In just 18mos that's probably a triple what it was. People are hearing it and that will help gain acceptance.
Also, I think the Strat is the bait. It's flashy and cool but really its not going to beam an IP to me as I drive across the country; the last mile needs some hardware on the ground.
Which is where I think we are. We now have a playing field for all the pieces. The team is being assembled, I believe we are in a huddle and will start marching down the field.
