China is aiming to create a world reserve currency backed by
a gold standard, it seems the most likely direction towards
they are heading.
With an explosion in gold imports since earlier this year, with
an increasing number of bilateral trading agreements with their
largest trading partners (excl. the US), China could be indeed
be preparing for an alternative route instead of simply joining
the global currency devaluation Grand Prix.
