In June the company approved funding to redevelop the front stretch of its flagship Daytona motorsports facility to include five expanded and redesigned entrances and improved seating. The construction is targeted for completion in January 2016, and the cost of the redevelopment is estimated at $375 million to $400 million.

For the quarter ended May 31, International Speedway posted a profit of $22.4 million, or 48 cents a share, up from $13.7 million, or 30 cents a share, a year earlier. Excluding a loss from early debt redemption and asset retirements, among other things, earnings fell to 51 cents a share from 52 cents a year earlier.

The stock is up 24% in the past 12 months.
