Besides the MikeyWaltripgate scandal, the bigger news may well be Nationwide bailing out on the Tier 2 series, formerly the Busch Series. And with Fox Sports having consumed the former Speed Channel, there is no media partner broadcasting many of the set-up shows for Cup races, including the truck series, Cup testing and Cup qualifying. Last weekend's Nationwide race wasn't even telecast except as an unannounced after thought on ESPN News which I found only by accident. It was not listed on Yahoo Sports, Nascar.com or even Jayski.
