Yeah, it should have read "quarterly" instead of "annually".

Still backward looking. With the SGI 330 shipping I bet
IPF went over 10k units in Q4.


But your response only reaffirms my point which is IPF sells in such small numbers that "growth" looks astonishing statistically.

I am surprised an AMD supporter would call into question
the statistical significance of $619m per quarter of sales
of anything.

In Q3 SPARC sales fell over 10% YoY, a continuation
of several previous years of shrinkage. It is even worse
for SPARC in systems with more than 4 processors.
In contrast IPF sales grew 73% to reach nearly 2/3rds
the revenue of SPARC. IPF and Power are handing
SPARC its *** in the enterprise server segment and IPF
will likely grow past SPARC in total sales revenue this
year. There is nothing Sun can do about it but spout
empty FUD and they have been doing it for years.
