What hope does Surface 2 have ?
Surface 1 did miserably against Surface Pro. There were insignificant number of Atom based tablets.

The Improvements to Surface look very superficial.The Surface Pro2 has much better battery life, which was its major weakness. There will be a plethora of Atom based tablets. The Asus convertible with Baytrail will go for $350 and there will be others too at similar price points. How many customers will insist on the Microsoft brand, but cannot afford the Pro , will not shop around to get hardware which will be cheaper, faster, and run a lot more software? The deck looks stacked against the Surface 2 a lot worse than it did against the Surface1.
