You can convert (transfer) as much as you want from a regular IRA to a Roth IRA, but the total can not exceed $100,000 in your adjusted gross income for the year. Theses are the amounts you can contribute for the year:
Roth IRA Contribution Limits:
2005: $4,000 if under age 50;
$4,500 if age 50 and over.
2006: $4,000 if under age 50;
$5,000 if age 50 and over.
