Odd, but not necessarily silly.

I've just been involved in the sale of a limited company and four sets of lawyers were involved.

Different firms have different expertise. Just because we have used three does not mean that we are paying three times the amount we should. By using four lawyers for example, my client managed to save money rather than if they had used just one of them for all requirements.

Hope that makes sense and hope all is well on the other side of the pond.
