A really interesting development would be if Apple starting selling OS X plus a special key to allow it to load on PC's.

This would scare MS silly. It would also improve Intel's competitive position with MS when urging MS to incorporate new Intel technology into its products. Currently MS uses a lowest common denominator approach for its products.

Apple is quite happy with its latest and greatest OS approach and has been successful getting its installed base to upgrade to a new OS.

The idea of an Intel platform and an Apple OS is quite appealing to me and perhaps others too.
