(NYSE: HTH), a Dallas-based financial holding company, has scheduled a live audio webcast and conference call for 8 AM Central, Thursday, September 19, 2013. Hilltop Holdings President and CEO Jeremy B. Ford and other key management members will discuss PlainsCapital Bank’s recent FDIC-assisted acquisition of Edinburg, Texas-based First National Bank. PlainsCapital Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hilltop Holdings. PlainsCapital Bank assumed substantially all of the liabilities and purchased substantially all of the assets of Edinburg, Texas-based First National Bank on Sept. 13, 2013. Based on April 19, 2013 balances of First National Bank, PlainsCapital Bank purchased at book value approximately $2.6 billion of assets and assumed approximately $2.4 billion of liabilities. The former First National Bank branch locations will be rebranded PlainsCapital Bank.
