I used Berkley Trilene XL all my life...
lost a nice Lake Michigan salmon a few years ago on the mono and switched to Power Pro braid. Outstanding stuff. I'll never go back to mono again. No coils and no line twist. Very successful on the salmon rods so put it on the smallmouth bass rod. It's grrreat!
