You see, that's where you are simply wrong. You are an optimist. I'll give you that. And you are correct that the event inspired some of the best to come out of true Americans who rose to the occasion to help their fellow man. Crises usually do, and if that is all you want to see, then a good crisis never goes to waste on the masses.
But, what you are most fooled on is the reality and the cause of the situation. You can choose to focus on the REACTION by patriots, which is a noble, and probably a mentally healthier thing to do. Taking the colored pill that opens your eyes to the REALITY is, I'll admit, a very bitter pill to swallow. And you, and the rest of the sheeple, may indeed be correct with the proverbial questions, "Even if you are correct that the banksters control the gov'ts and are psychopaths, what can we the people possibly do? Why waste our time and disrupt our lives, when for 90% of us, we can simply live our lives to their conclusions, and this higher level stuff will never touch us anyway?"
That has been true for most, except those drafted, or fooled into volunteering for many of these psychopaths' wars. Or those who actually made it to the halls of these monsters, and decided it was not moral, so they left or spoke out. Their families have been forever changed, but if they only focus on the REACTION and not the REALITY, then, by your standards, perhaps they even came out stronger and more positive people believing the lies.
Some do happen to believe, after actually digging deep into the facts that seem to trouble you, and most people, to the point of ignoring them, that society is getting close to a time when their lies will catch up and implode. The greed, power, and sociopath behavior will result in a debt crisis, war, civil strife, a totalitarian regime, and the disillusionment of millions. Many will understand what is happening. Most will not have a clue, because they have happily buried their heads in the sand for too long.
It's a simple choice. As I said, perhaps your way is better, as you get to wander aimlessly around "believing the dream." Millions can cling to advertising manipulation like "hope and change" and meaningless words uttered from the most evil among us -- "God bless America."
Taking the other colored pill takes a different kind of person, and there are not many left. You rejoice in that fact, and others weep. It's all perspective, is it not?
Some would rather think their father died a hero in service for his country and celebrate his life, where others would rather know the truth and die trying to right the evil that manipulated and took it. The first path is certainly the easy one. May you continue to be blissfully ignorant and happy . . . until you are not. Some very astute minds believe that day is fast approaching.
