Circuit City has pushed their year end physical inventory up from
middle to end of February to January 7th thru February. This
accelerated inventory schedule is something the company has never
done before. Circuit City has posted record profits in Q2 & Q3 and
they plan to beat the street predictions again in Q4. To bring this
product into stores in the midst of this hectic period of returns
and physical inventory, not to mention their much needed focus on
Superbowl TV business, would be careless. I have personally spoken
with individuals responsible for making decisions regarding the
rollout of this program. It will take place and it will be
profitable for both companies. The numbers coming out of the test
locations are ridiculous. The stores make $30 per sub in pure
profit!!! And GZFX gets a revenue stream worth, at minimum, 9.99x8
or 80 bucks (Based upon the average rate of customer churn). Those
locations are selling multiple units on a daily basis. Imagine the
impact of 620 locations selling just one a day for a year..... how
about selling 2 a day.... Were good to go here... Good luck to all
who stay in with me...

Davehazle, Would you say it is beneficial to both parties?

Absolutely, Revenue streams that have no tangible cost are what got
BestBuy to where they are not (43 bux/ share). Schoonover knows this
and had intimate knowledge of the Netflix deal, he wont let this
opportunity slip by. Consider this, Tuesday comes around... Its new
release day for DVD's... Associates in test locations are no longer
pushing DVD's at 14.99 (a $2 per DVD loss for the company). Their
hustling GZFX subs like its crack (pardon the expression) for a $30
profit. Lets flip the scenario; GZFX before was selling via word of
mouth and internet links. CC test stores are showing them the
potential of strong advertising and salesmanship in a brick and
mortar store. Consider that most subs are the 16.99 3 out program
and the numbers I gave you before were at minimum. 16.99 x 8 = 135 -
30 =105 for each GZFX sub to GZFX. Profitable for EVERYONE.

Other Info:
They claim that they are able to set up a functioning warehouse in
less that 4 weeks anywhere in the country complete with inventory
and shipping capabilities.
They plan on implementing info structure with the post offices to be
notified of a rental return UPON POSTAL SCAN such that the next item
in your list is shipped just hours after you drop your returned item
at the post office.
(probably a number of months away)
