The market and industry has yet to even digest this information. The discussion showed some of the most significant progress to date in regards to legalization efforts, especially related to the business. For decades decriminalization, legalization, and rescheduling has been discussed in the halls of Congress. HOWEVER, never before has the idea of allowing banking in conjunction with cannabis distribution been a topic of discussion.
This is remarkable. The SJC has confirmed the debate is no longer about the legality of the state measures or any attempt to combat them, but the dialogue has moved on to how these measures can be best introduced.
