Noble Energy announced a discovery at the Troubadour exploration prospect (NBL operator with 60% working interest; sold down from 87.5% working interest as of 2-3 months ago) on Mississippi Canyon Block 699.

However, the discovery is smaller than initially expected and the well found natural gas rather than oil and the wellbore will be temporarily abandoned and retained as a potential future development.
