Yes the drug detection feature is important. If your marketing to border patrols, court houses, post offices, etc. you would prefer a machine that did both. On one of there trial runs they found drugs twice, I believe with the border patrol. If you we're a police department that needed a cheap way to detect just drugs, it looks like a pretty good one.
