More details on upgrade:

Advanced Micro Devices Inc., the world's No. 2 maker of personal-computer processors, rose 30 cents to $33.55. Piper Jaffray raised the shares to ``outperform' from ``market perform' and lifted the price estimate 73 percent to $45.

Dell Contract

There's a ``high likelihood' AMD will win a contract to supply microprocessors to Dell Inc., the world's largest maker of personal computers, boosting AMD's revenue and earnings, according to Piper Jaffray analysts Les Santiago and Parag Agarwal.
