COSOL Sees U.S. market as key growth driver

COSOL Limited Managing Director Scott McGowan talked with Proactive at AIM's Small and Midcap Conference about the company’s role in driving operational efficiency across asset-intensive industries. COSOL Limited works with organisations in mining, oil and gas, utilities, and public infrastructure to enhance the performance of their physical assets. McGowan explained the company’s core service as unlocking value by helping clients reduce costs through better asset management. “We look at ways that we can save them real dollars to be able to manage that asset more effectively,” he said. The company’s client list includes major names such as Glencore, Rio Tinto, BHP, and several government departments. COSOL provides the systems and processes behind the scenes to manage these organisations’ equipment and facilities, potentially impacting hundreds of millions in operational costs. Even a 2–3% improvement, McGowan said, “makes a significant difference to their bottom line.” COSOL has grown revenue from AUD 30 million to over AUD 110 million since listing. It is now targeting organic growth in the mid-teens and exploring earnings-accretive acquisitions. Firefly Metals hits high-grade copper-gold at Green Bay

Firefly Metals Ltd managing director Steve Parsons talked with Proactive about the company’s latest drill results from the Green Bay Copper-Gold Project. Parsons highlighted a series of significant intercepts from ongoing infill drilling, including a standout result of 14.2 metres at 7.5% copper equivalent. These results are part of an effort to upgrade the current 24.4 million-ton resource into the indicated category, which is essential for progressing the company’s engineering studies and maintaining ASX compliance. “In some of those infill zones, we’re seeing 50 metres or more at over 2% copper with gold,” Parsons said, underlining the robust nature of the mineralised system. Firefly currently has five underground rigs active, with three focused on infill drilling and two on step-out drilling aimed at further growing the resource. The company expects new results in the coming weeks and is also preparing to commence regional exploration drilling within a ten-kilometre radius of the planned processing plant. Alpha HPA eyes global demand with stage 2 facility

Alpha HPA Ltd Managing Director Rob Williamson talked with Proactive at the AIM Small and Midcap conference about how the company is redefining aluminum purification through its novel solvent extraction technology. Alpha HPA is producing high-purity aluminum materials for advanced industries such as semiconductors, lithium-ion batteries, direct lithium extraction, and LED technologies. Williamson explained that while solvent extraction has been used in industries like copper and rare earths, Alpha HPA is the first to apply it to aluminum purification, allowing for significantly reduced energy input and improved sustainability. Williamson said, “We can produce our materials at a 70% lower carbon footprint compared to incumbent manufacturers.” This aligns with growing global demand for cleaner technologies and supports the energy transition. The company recently signed a letter of intent with a customer in the semiconductor market, targeting an alloy used in polishing silicon carbide wafers. The product is 50% more efficient than alternatives, and Williamson noted the Stage 2 facility, currently under construction, is expected to have 10,000 tonnes of annual capacity to meet rising demand. Acusensus talks global expansion and growth drivers

Acusensus Ltd Managing Director talked with Proactive at AIM's Small and Midcap Conference about the company’s progress in road safety technology, its global expansion, and the upcoming launch of a new product line aimed at road worker protection. Alex Jannink, Managing Director and Co-founder of Acusensus, explained how the company pioneered enforcement cameras targeting behaviours like mobile phone use and seatbelt compliance. “We supply these automated enforcement cameras...and we receive a fixed monthly fee essentially for those services,” he said, outlining the company's outsourced business model under long-term government contracts. While 93% of revenues currently come from Australia, Jannink confirmed growth is underway internationally, with active customers in the United States and United Kingdom. Acusensus has also secured a nationwide speed enforcement contract in New Zealand, expected to contribute significantly from the next financial year. Jannink highlighted the broader social mission behind the business: “The whole goal of the company is to change behaviours and to save lives.” He pointed to strong behavioural impacts from previous deployments, including a six-fold drop in mobile phone use and a 21% reduction in road fatalities in New South Wales.
